Come in, have a seat, and take a breath.

This is a space where your story matters.

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Yasamin Fani, and I go by Yas. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 141347). I offer online therapy for all residents of California.

I’ve spent the past decade walking alongside kids, teens, adults, and families through life’s most toughest and meaningful moments. I help people feel more grounded in who they are—whether you're navigating stressors, life transitions, parenting challenges or relationship hardships.

I’m an Iranian immigrant who has also called Mexico home, and my journey into therapy began long before I had a name for it. In 1992, I lost my father to a shooting during the unrest of post-war Iran. At the time, I didn’t have the tools to process the loss, and for years I carried a sense of anxiety I couldn’t explain. It wasn’t until college—while taking psychology courses—that things began to click. I realized that many of our behaviors have deeper emotional and relational roots. That insight was life-changing for me.

After undergrad, I moved to Mexico City to teach English as an Elementary school teacher, pushing myself toward emotional independence. It was in the classroom that I realized my true passion was supporting my student’s emotional well-being-not just their academic growth-which led me to return to the U.S. to earn a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.

I also care deeply about supporting the BIPOC community and creating a space where culture, identity, and lived experience are honored. As someone who has navigated multiple cultural worlds myself, I understand how systemic inequities and generational stories can shape our sense of belonging. My work is grounded in social justice, inclusivity, and advocating for marginalized communities.
